We hope many such contributions will be forthcoming in the future. From The Editor... We have just had a successful 6th JAINA convention with a theme "Extending Jain Heritage to the Next Generation." We are witnessing the birth of a new Jain world in North America. It is very young, not in its essence, but in its outer manifestation. The road to approaching our young is completely new, never been tried before. It is a beginning, a universal beginning. It is absolutely an adventure. When one is young, one dreams of miracles, one wants everything to always be luminous and beautiful. One dreams of being able to rise into the air of acting, to be setting things right when they are going wrong, healing sick society. Indeed, one has all sorts of dreams when one is young. This spirit needs to be encouraged because it is what one should rely on. Tendency of doing nothing or pessimism, saying that is is merely a dream and not a reality may be avoided. We may tell them yes, it is what we must try to realize and not only is it possible, it is certain. This is what should guide us in the direction of true reality. Congratulations to all our youths for showing a great promise through their participation in the activities of the JAINA. We are moving ahead united.
