VISION ONE day it so happened that four men who were blind from birth met at an eye clinic where they had come for treatment. While waiting for their turn they got into a heated argument about the colour of the window panes. One of them touched it accidentally and remarked categorically “I can tell that the colour of the panes is green.” The second contradicted him immediately, “Certainly not; it is red. My guide said so." The third now exclaimed, “But my father told me it was yellow, and yellow it must be." "You are all wrong," burst in the fourth. "The panes are blue; my son who is studying science said so and he must know better than the others !"
As this storm in the tea cụp was raging, the doctor arrived. He intervened and restored peace. “None of you can see and yet you are squabbling over what somebody else told you. My cabin has eight glass panes, each of a different colour."
Isn't it foolish to argue dogmatically over any subject, ignoring the likelihood of its having several aspects ?
