In the large courtyard merchant Dhanad, his wife Yashoda, their four sons, four daughters-in-law and grand-children were making a thick mixture of flour and salt in water and drinking it. Muni Somachandra asked his companion -
Sir, the merchant has this palatial mansion and still the members of his family live in such
misery. Why?
This is the curse of time. Once a billionaire, today
he drinks poor man's soup in earthen pots and
passes his time.
