(5) Who is the refuge ? Whose help to sook ?: there is none to listen to the wail (of the soul) ! Look! all are being ground in the Jaws of Death!. _
न साथी है, न संगो है कोई जीवों का आलम सार-3
अकेले पैदा होते हैं अकेले ही हैं मर जाते। (6) There is no companion of souls in the world, not a wayfaring associate ! Alone are they born, alone also do they die !
नहीं जब जिस्म ही प्रपना तो कैसा गैर से रिश्ता।
हां, ना फ़हमी से पुत्र वा मित्र अपने हैं कहे जाते ॥ (7) When even the body is not one's own, how, then, can . another be a relation of the Self ? ___Through delusion, verily, are termed one's own the friend and the son ?
का है चाम से ढांचा, भरा है मूत्र व मल से येह
येह ही है लोग जिसकी खूबियों पे निस्य हैं इतराते॥ (8) With (leathern) parchment is the skeleton covered; it is filled with urine and filth !
Is this the thing whose excellencies have turned men's heads?
चतुर-गति-रूप पालम है नहीं सुख से यहां कोई।
मनुष्य तिर्यञ्च नारक देव हैं सब दुख से चिल्लाते ।। (9) Characterized by the gatis quartette is this world of life; happy therein is none !
Derass and men, lower kingdoms and hells all are crying with pain !
प्रवस् की बन्दगो बातिल बुतों की सूठे देवों को।
जो संबर निरजरा करते तो बिल का मुद्दमा पाते। (10) In vain, have we worshipped false gods and guides that only lead one astray;
