________________ 62 FAITH KNOWLEDGE AND CONDUCT their roles are generally distorted on account of the suppression to which the wish has been subjected. Visions are perceived in a similar manner, except that the impulse or wish which is father to the train of thought is not a physical but an elevating moral craving. Any slight bodily sensation, and at times perhaps the persistency of the moral craving itself, will set the mental train in motion. Allegorization will occur probably from the habit of the mind that delights in poetical metaphor. Jain Education International For Private & Personal Use Only www.jainelibrary.orgPage Navigation
