________________ PURUSHA SUKTHAM The real thought pattern should be one of equality. Yud - Head 7 Heh - Arms Vav - Torso Heh - Legs All are parts of the Purusha, but each is assigned a function so that the society is self sufficient and support each other. Who supports whom? The teacher, defender, the provider and the worker are all necessary to maintain the society. The ultimate supporters are the legs. In a society where servanthood is considered menial and servants are outcaste we get the caste system. This is what happens in the fallen world. Once fallen the leg is of no purpose for the head and the arms. Eph 4:11-13 And truly He gave some to be apostles, and some to be prophets, and some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ. And this until we all come into the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a full-grown man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ. 1Co 12:14-28 For the body is not one member, but many. If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body? If all the body were an eye, where would be the hearing? If all hearing, where would be the smelling? But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body as it has pleased Him. And if they were all one member, where would be the body?
