Prof. G. R. JAIN
An authority on Jaina physics, a thinker, a writer and a philanthropist Prof. Ghasi Ram Jain was born on December 1902 at Srinagar (Garhwal, U.P.). He took his M.Sc. degree from the Allahabad University, being taught by the great Scientist, Dr. Meghnad Saha. He was a Professor of physics, throughout his career at Gwalior. He was equally a great Jainologist.
As a practising Jain he took an oath, while a seventh class student, not to let his income exceed Rs. 500/a month. And he came true with his word till his last breath. He has to his credit, 12 books published on various aspects of Jainism.
