He spent his last days at Ahmedabad, which was the main land of his activities. He was now very weak because of his old age. He passed away on 3 June 1976. A life-long practitioner in various studies and exceptionally learned personality in archaeology thus, made his way to heaven after living sufficiently long and bright life.
