They said in such a condition, even arrowed enemies are to be forgiven but she happens to be your wife. Therefore the king went to console her, so that she might die peacefully.If he did not go and visit her the public would blame the king, and if he went to the queen, his reputation among the people would increase.

The king paid heed to the advice of his ministers and went to the sick queen. The queen concluded this to be the effect of the Vaidya's treatment and began to recover from the illness. She was so delighted to see the king after almost two years and tears of joy began to roll down her cheeks. The king was also moved by the sight and asked the queen to forgive him for his ill treatment.
