KARMA PRAKRITI.
Short notes (Tippana) of Nemichandra of about 2000 slokas.

It is a matter of great regret that owing to certain inexplicable reasons these personages who flourished in the bye-gone times never cared to write anything about their personal history for the use of posterity, as the same was not considered of any material use. Being driven to undertake or compose works of high authority purely out of consideration of charity and obligations on the future generations, it appears they never cared for their own fame. Otherwise it is very difficult to explain the absence of any history even the date or the period when the respective authors flourished especially where one knows that the respective work composed by them, command the highest admiration and continue to occupy an eminent place as the best exposition of the subject treated therein. In this state of things it is clear, nothing can be said about the contemporaries or the society of the time of the present Commentator. The only thing which can be traced from Pattávali (the history of great Acharyas of each era) is that the present author flourished before the thirteenth century of Vikrama. However the whole thing at present is shrouded in complete darkness. It is hoped some students of antiquarian interests will take
