गर्भरूप में उत्पन्न हुए देखता है। देखकर, उसका हृदय । हर्षित, तुष्ट, प्रानन्दविभोर[परमानन्दित एवं मन प्रीति । से अोतप्रोत हो जाता है । वह परम सौमनस्य को प्राप्त करता है। हर्ष-वश उसका हृदय प्रफुल्लित हो उठता है। मेघधारा से सिंचित कदम्ब के सुगन्धित एवं सुविकसित पुष्प की केसर के समान उसका रोम-रोम पुलकित हो जाता है। उत्फुल्ल उत्तम कमल के समान उसके नेत्र और मुख प्रफुल्लित हो जाते हैं । इस हर्ष के कारण उसके पहने हुए श्रेष्ठ कटक (कड़े), पहुंची, केयूर-भुजबन्ध, मुकुट, कुण्डल और वक्ष में शोभित हार हिल उठते हैं । लम्बे लटकते हुए और पुनः पुनः दोलायमान आभूषणों को धारण किया हुग्रा सुरेन्द्र । ससम्भ्रम-हठात् त्वरितगति से शीघ्रतापूर्वक सिंहासन । से उठ कर खड़ा हो जाता है । सिंहासन से उठ कर पादपीठ से नीचे उतरता है। पादपीठ से नीचे उतर कर । वह कुशल कारीगरों द्वारा वरिष्ठ वैडूर्य और अंजन । रत्नों से निर्मित तथा चमचमायमान मणिरत्नों से जटित अपनी पादुका को उतारता है। पादुका को उतार कर वह दुपट्टे से उत्तरासरण धारण करता है। उत्तरासण धारण करके अंजलि से मुकूलित अग्रहाथ वाला वह इन्द्र तीर्थकर के सम्मुख सात-पाठ
15. Indra kept constant watch over the continent of Jambudvipa with his all-embracing, supersensory and almost omniscient vision. He saw that Sramana Bhagavan Mahavira had entered the womb of Devanandā, wife of Rsabhadatta, who lived in the land of Bhārata and was filled with joy, contentment, bliss. He rejoiced and was transported with delight, bliss and ecstasy. His mind overflowed with the thrill of elation, causing the hair of his body to stand erect like a fragrant kadumba flower at the touch of rain. His face and eyes beamed like lotuses in full bloom. Hastily (with an eager flurry born of deference), he got up from the throne in all his finery. His priceless bejewelled ornaments, bracelets, wristlets, the keyura of the upper arm, ear-rings, necklaces and the crown-all shook with his sudden movement. His low-hanging garlands were thrown against each other in confused medley. Hurriedly, he climbed down the footstool of his throne and removed his shoes which were skilfully studded with glowing jewels and precious stones such as vaidurya, varistha, ristha, and anjavia.
