बयालीस हजार तीन वर्ष साढ़े आठ महीने कम एक कोटा-कोटि सागरोपम का तीसरा यारा व्यतीत हो गया। उस समय यमरण भगवान महावीर निर्वाण को प्राप्त हए। महावीर निर्धारण के पश्चात नौ सौ वर्ष व्यतीत हो चुके हैं और दशवीं शताब्दी का प्रस्सीवां वर्ष का समय चल रहा है।
स्थविरावली २०१. उस काल और उस समय श्रमण भगवान महावीर के नौ गण और ग्यारह गणधर थे। २०२. हे भगवन् ! यह किस कारण से ऐसा कहा जाता है कि श्रमण भगवान महावीर के नौ गरण और। ग्यारह गणधर थे। उत्तर-श्रमण भगवान महावीर के ज्येष्ठ (शिष्य) गौतम गोत्रीय इन्द्रभूति अनगार ने पांच सौ श्रमणों को वाचना दी थी। मध्यम (शिष्य) गौतम गोत्रीय अग्निभूति अनगार ने पांच सौ धमरणों को वाचना दी थी। कनिष्ठ (शिष्य) गौतम गोत्रीय वायुभूति अनगार ने पांच सौ श्रमणों को वाचना दी थी।
200. Three years, eight-and-a-half months elapsed after Arhat Rsabha attained parinirviya; thereafter, another crore of a crore sägaropamas, minus fortytwo thousand and three years eight-and-a-half months also elapsed, when Bhagavan Mahavira attained parinirvana, after which nine full centuries have now elapsed, and of the tenth this is the eightieth year.
Sthaviravall 201. In those times, in those days, Bhagavān Mahavira had cleven ganadharas and nine ganas. 202. And why, now, is it being said that Bhagavan Mahavira had eleven ganadharas and nine ganas? The eldest monk-disciple of Sramana Bhagavān Mahāvira, was the mendicant Indrabhūti, of the Gotama gotra. A group of five hundred ascetics studied under him. Agnibhūti, also of the Gotama gotra, occupied the middle position among Bhagavān Mahavira's ganadharas. He too, had a group of five hundred ascetics who studied under him. Viyubhuti was the youngest ganadhara. He, too, was of the Gotama zotra and he, too, had a group of five hundred ascetics whom he had taught,
