१७३. अर्हतु श्रर को यावत् सर्व दुःख-रहित हुए. एक हजार करोड़ वर्ष व्यतीत हो चुके । शेष अन्तर अर्हत् मल्लि के समान समझना चाहिए। वह शेष अन्तर इस प्रकार है :- अर्हत् र के मुक्तिगमन के पश्चात् एक हजार करोड़ वर्ष में अर्हतु मल्लिका निर्वाण और हुग्रा अर्हत मल्लि के निर्वाण के पश्चात् पैंसठ लाख चौरासी हजार वर्ष व्यतीत हो गए, उस समय महावीर का निर्वाण हुआ। महावीर के निर्वाण के बाद नौ सौ वर्ष व्यतीत हो गए और अब उस पर दशवीं शती का अस्सीवां संवत्सर का समय चल रहा है। इसी प्रकार ग्रागे श्रेयांसनाथ का वर्णन श्राता है वहां तक समझना चाहिए।
१७४. प्रर्हतु कुन्थु को यावत् सर्व दुःखों से मुक्त हुए एक पल्योपम का चतुर्थ भाग जितना समय व्यतीत हो गया। उसके पश्चात् पैंसठ लाख वर्ष व्यतीत हुए, इत्यादि शेष वर्णन श्रर्हत् मल्लि के सम्बन्ध में जैसा कहा है वैसा ही यहां समझना चाहिए।
१७५. ग्रर्हत् शान्ति को यावत् सर्व 'दुःख-हीन हुए चार भाग कम एक पल्योपम अर्थात् पौन पल्योपम जितना समय व्यतीत हो गया। उसके बाद पैंसठ लाख वर्ष व्यतीत हुए, इत्यादि शेष वर्णन अर्हत् मल्लि के सम्बन्ध में जैसा कहा गया है वैसा ही यहां समझना चाहिए । १७६. अर्हतु धर्म को यावत समस्त दुःखों से मुक्त हुए
173. Full ten million thousand years, plus the number of years since Arhat Malli, have now passed since the passing away of Arhat Ara. The calculation is as follows: Arhat Malli breathed his last ten million years after Arhat Ara had passed away. Six million five hundred and eighty-four thousand years after this event, Bhagavan Mahavira attained nirvana. Thereafter, nine full centuries have passed; of the tenth this is the eightieth year.
This reckoning should be similarly applied to the other Tirthankaras that follow.
174. A quarter of a palyopama, plus the number of years since Malli, have now passed after Arhat Kunthu breathed his last and reached a state beyond pain; the rest of the figure should be understood as with Malli.
175. Three quarters of a palyopama, plus the number of years since Malli have passed away after Arhat Santi attained parinirvana.
