भस्मराशि नामक महाग्रह, जो दो हजार वर्ष तक एक ही राशि पर रहता है, श्रमण भगवान् महावीर की जन्मराशि पर संक्रान्त हया तब से श्रमरण-निर्ग्रन्थ पौर निर्ग्रन्थिनियों के पूजा-सत्कार में उत्तरोत्तर वृद्धि नहीं होगी। १३०. जब वह क्षुद्र भस्मराशि ग्रह, यावत् भगवान् महावीर के जन्म-नक्षत्र पर से हट जायेगा तब श्रमणनिर्ग्रन्थ और निर्ग्रन्थिनियों के पूजा-सत्कार में उत्तरोत्तर अभिवृद्धि होती रहेगी। १३१. जिस रात्रि में श्रमण भगवान् महावीर कालधर्म को प्राप्त हए, यावत् समस्त दूःखों से मुक्त हए, उस रात्रि में कुन्यु नामक क्षुद्र जीवराशि उत्पन्न हो गई। जब ये कुन्थु स्थिर हों, हलन-चलन नहीं करते हों तो छद्मस्थ निर्ग्रन्थ और निर्ग्रन्थिनियों को सहसा दृष्टिगोचर नहीं होते थे, जब वे जोव अस्थिर, चलते-फिरते हों तो छद्मस्थ साधु और साध्वियों के दृष्टिपथ में आते थे। इस प्रकार की जीवराशि को देखकर बहुत से साधु और साध्वियों ने भक्त-पान का परित्याग कर दिया अर्थात् अनशन स्वीकार कर लिया।
129. Ever since the moment when the great star, Ksudrātmā, with its heap of ashes, has cast an evil influence over the constellation of Mahavira's birth, less honour is increasingly given, less reve! rence is paid to nirgranthas and śramaras, whether
monks or nuns. 130. The moment when the influence of Ksudrātma will pass away from the constellation of Mahavira's birth, increasingly more honour and reverence will be paid to nirgranthas and framanas, both monks and nuns. 131. On the night, at the moment when Sramara Bhagavān Mahavira breathed his last and reached the state beyond all pain, a subtle worm called Anuddharl was born. Monks and nuns, whose minds are clouded by ignorance, cannot easily perceive this worm when it is stationary and unmoving. But when the worm is not at rest and makes a movement then monks and nuns can see it easily.
