Exposition on the Bondage of the Body in the Bandhananikayadwara
[751
In the case of a jiva possessing a karmic body, the extent of the region in the karmic body to which it is bound varies. Some regions remain bound for a period of one samaya more, some for two samaya more, and some for three samaya more, up to the maximum duration of the karmic state. || 248 ||
According to the measure of the regions, what is the extent of the regions bound in the first samaya by the jiva possessing the audarika, vaikriyika, and aharika bodies through the first samaya aharika and the first samaya tadabhavasthanaka? || 249 ||
It is infinite times greater than the number of the asiddhas and is an infinitesimal part of the siddhas. || 250 ||
What is the extent of the regions bound in the second samaya? || 251 ||
It is infinite times greater than the number of the asiddhas and is an infinitesimal part of the siddhas. || 252 ||
What is the extent of the regions bound in the third samaya? || 253 ||
It is infinite times greater than the number of the asiddhas and is an infinitesimal part of the siddhas. || 254 ||
Thus, up to the maximum, the extent of the regions bound in the three bodies increases from three palya-pramaana, to thirty-three saagara-pramaana, to antarmuhuurtapramaana. || 255 ||
What is the extent of the regions bound in the first samaya by the jiva possessing the tejas and karma bodies, in the form of the tejaskarma body? || 256 ||
It is infinite times greater than the number of the asiddhas and is an infinitesimal part of the siddhas. || 257 ||
