DIKSHA VIDHI AND ACHARYABHISHEKA.
(Initiation and Consecration)
ASESORASUSEGA
Diksha Vidhi (Initiation) or Mantra Diksha (Initiation with Mantras) is practically forgotten at the present time and even in later works it is to be found treated only in "AcharaDinakara". The Chapter on Acharyabhisheka (Consecration as Acharya) is of importance to show the qualifications which are thought necessary in the person receiving the dinigity and to show how he was 18 respected even by his preceptor on conferment of the Dignity. It not only deals with consecration of Acharya, but says that Abhisheka (Consecration) may be similarly performed for attaining various wordly objects e. g. regaining lost kingdom and having a son.
