Hindu Funeral Reform.
The introduction of public undertakers, trolley stretchers and crematorium will not only help to create social stability but it will also help to abolish ostracism, infanticides, sales of brides, compulsary widowhood, funeral caste-dinners, poverty and other various evils, which are sapping the India the life-blood of.

Is it, then, too much to ask our leaders as well as social and sanitary institutions and conferences to pass resolutions acknowledging the need and utility of this reformi Hindu funeral about process, initiating our local Governments and native states to establish public crematoria with a few trolley stretchers attached to the same for the use of those who will, and then to depend upon the educative influence of the new custom thus introduced?

ચુવાન વિધવા માટે સરસ તર્ક
એક દશા શ્રીમાળી જૈન, ઉમર વરસ ૩૦ માત્ર, ધંધા વીલાતના, ખાનદાન કુટુંબના માત્ર વિધવાવિવાહના પ્રચાર ખાતર પોતે કન્યા સાથે નહિ પણ વિધવા સાથે પરણવા તૈયાર થયા છે. વિધવા દશા શ્રીમાળી વણિક નાતીની હાવી જોઇએ. કાઈ પણ પ્રાંતની હશે હેને માટે વાંધા નથી. સુશીલ જોઇએ. ઇચ્છા હાય તેણે વજીરુ, જૈન હિતેચ્છુ આફ્સિ, ૨૦ ટેમેરીડ લેન, કાટ, મુબઇ, એ શિરનામે પત્ર લખવા. પત્રવ્યવહાર તદન ખાનગી રાખવાનું વચન આપવામાં આવે છે. ઉંમર, અભ્યાસ, પ્રથમ લગ્ન કર્યાંારે થયું, વૈધવ્ય કયારે આવ્યું, પિતા અને શ્વસુર પક્ષની પીછાન, લગ્ન થવામાં આડખીલ રૂપ બાબતા કે મનુષ્યા હોય તેનું વર્ણન; ઇત્યાદિ બાબતે વિસ્તારથી લખવી. કાઈ ખાળવિધવાને કાઇ પુનર્લગ્ન કરતાં અટકાવતું હશે તે તેના રીતસર મા કરવામાં આવશે. માત્ર વિધવા બાઈ પાતે પેાતાના મનથી દૃઢ હોવી જોઇએ. પત્રમાં પેાતાનું પુરૂં શિરનામું લખવું.
