________________ 23. નહિતરછુ. exist in one form or another, such as caste, creed, class, clan, tribe, guild or whatnot, with its own rules and regulations for the conduct of life and-oven death ! In India, however, “The form of caste system is watertight and very rigid." But none explains fully as to how, why or where lies the terrorising spell of the caste, or what debars the removal of the tightness or rigidity. Speaking on the Balance of Power at Guild Hall, President Wilson defined the League of Nations as the way of changing the old order. The President said: “ When this war began the thought of a League of Nations was indul. gently considered as an interesting thought of closeted students, something man could think about but never get. Now we find the practical leading minds of the world determined to get it and just men have everywhere come toge. ther for a common object.” In the same way if people in India are determined to be free, they will have to take some lessons and learn to profit by experience of famine, plague, malaria, influenza, cholera, etc. and rise to their full height, or else sink lower and drop eventually into the abyss. To create a generation worthy of India's name, and to be recognised as a Nation, India will have first to nationalise-her dead by establishing public undertakers' institutions and crematoria, These institutions can be conducted at a very little cost and will help to create higher ideals of life among India's sons and daughters and give them time and indivi.
