charity, (3) Sva Dava or charity to 'Self,' (4) Para Daya or charity to all other beings, (5) Svaroopa Daya or self-analysing charity, [6] Anubandha Daya or motive charity, [7] Vyavahara Daya or prescribed charity and (8) Nishchaya Daya or the real essential charity, freeing the Soul from Karmas, from its embodiments. To illustrate the eight forms:1. Dravya Daya-One may do a work, but he must do it
Carefully with a keen eye to the safety and protection of
even small creatures, insects, animalcules &c. 2. Bhava Daya-To preach the right path out of compassion
to a person going or being led astray and thus sinking to
a lower life. 3. Sva Daya-To meditate that from the eternal times, this
embodied soul is possessed of Mithyatva, i. e. illusion or falsity, that he has forgotten himself and does not know what he really is, and that he does not realise the truth and abide by the law inculcated by Jeeneshvar Bhagvan,the liberated omniscient Lord; and thus get access to the
precinets of the dominion of religion. 4. Para Daya, -To save and protect the six-fold animate
creation, viz (1-5) Sthavaras or beings which can not move of their own accord from one place to another and -possess only one organ of sense viz. that of "Touch' Under the category of these immoveable beings fall the following five. (i) Prithvi Kaya or Earth--Kingdom (ii) Ap Kaya or waterKingdom, [iii] Tejas Kaya or Fire Kingdom [iv] Vayu Kaya or Wind Kingdom and [v] Vanaspati Kaya or Vegetable Kingdom; and [6] Tras or beings which can move, when they will, from one place to another and possess some two organs of sense, viz. those of "Touch' and 'Taste'; some three those of 'Touch,' 'Taste' and 'Smell'; some four-those of "Touch' “Taste' (Smell' and Sight and the rest all the five oí those"Touch,' 'Taste', 'Smell', 'Sight' and 'Sound'
