The question of th nemployed also which, at present, is taxing the brains of politician may find an easy solution in vegetarianism.

There will then no longer be any need for emigration which depletes the country of its strongest and best children nor will there b any hinde rance in way of marriage.
Many people, who do not at present marry for fear that they will not be able to maintain the issues of a legal marriage, will tak to thems lves a permanent companion and have an opportunity to learn the when God sends mouths He sends food also. Each child means no only a soul to support but a pair of hands also to til the soil. Many acres of land which at present lie fallow for want of tillers, will be brought under cultivation and many of those in numerable acres which serve as pastures for fattening sheep, cows and bullocks may be turned into shady orchards.

મહારાષ્ટ્રના પ્રાચીન ઇતિહાસમાંથી ઘેાડી પ્રખ્યાત વાતે’એ નામના મરાઠી લેખમાં ડાકટર રામકૃષ્ણે ભાંડારકર લખે છે કે —પૂર્વના ઇતિહાસમાં જૈન ધર્મને ઉલ્લેખ માલૂમ પડતા નથી, પરંતુ ઉક્ત ચાલુકય કુળની કારકીર્દીમાં જૈન મદિરાને તથા જૈન પ ંડિતાને દાન અપાયેલાં માલૂમ પડે છે. એક ચાલુકય રાજાના ગુરૂ જૈન ધર્મી હતા. ચાલુકય કુળના નાશ ઇસવી સન ૭૫૦ માં થયે. તેથી એકદર ૪૦ સ॰ ૫૦૦-૭૫૦ સુધી મહારાષ્ટ્ર દેશનુ આધિપત્ય આ કુળને સ્વાધીન ( ૨૫૦ વર્ષ સુધી) હતુ
