to the influence of the vulgar. All schools should be organised in the American way, which appeals to the children's sense of honour in cases of misdoing.
8 The co-operation of school and home is of the utmost importance with regard to the control over the sexual instinct.
The home must take care that neither food nor clothing nor too much sleep lead to effeminacy in boys, while the school must inculcate the idea that they must not follow their instincts, but must consider themselves as strong trees which have certain adventitious shoots that must be pruned away. Enlightenment on sex-matters is only useful if it can fill the young minds with veneration for the care and the thoughts of God, and if the will has been trained to self-control. Mere knowledge can not give strength; it can only give gnidance. A pure and strong race can only result from pure and well-diciplined family life, while the school must awaken and keep alive the desire for a pure life, which brings more happiness than impure and debilitating excesses.
In this way it is to be hoped that the strength of the young generation will be developed, and that school and home will successfully promote that morality which consists in “ perfect self-control.”

- અનુંસંધાન ગતાંક પાને ૨૨થી. તાવિક દષ્ટિએ વિચાર કરતાં આત્મ સાધન તરફ લક્ષ્ય રાખનાર, આદર્શ રૂ૫ નીતિરીતિને ધણું પરમાર્થની સાધના કરતો હતો પણ તેથી અન્ય પ્રાણીઓને અવર્ય ઉપકાર કરવા વડે કરીને છેવટે પિતાના આત્માનું પણ કલ્યાણ કરી શકે છે અને સ્વ સ્વભાવમાં લીન રહેતે પુરૂષ, પરોપકારપરાયણ મનુષ્ય ધીમે ધીમે ઉન્નત દશાએ પહોંચતાં પિતાનું ઉત્તમ પ્રકારનું હિત જાળવી શકે છે. આમ સ્પષ્ટ રીતે સમજવા છતાં પણ આજકાલના ટાપટીપીયા સુધારાનું ફળ એ આવ્યું છે કે પિતાનામાં રહેલ હિંસાત્મક અનેક દુર્ગણોને ચાલાકીથી
