મદદ કરવાની છે. આગેવાન ગૃહસ્થ આ કામમાં જરૂર મદદ કરશે જ એમ અમારી દૃઢ માન્યતા છે.
શ્રી જૈન શ્વેતાંબર ડીરેકટરીના પ્રથમ બે ભાગ ઉપરથી જણાય છે કે જે ગુજરાત દેશને દાખલો લઈએ તે ૨૪૫૯૧ પુરૂષ તથા ૨૫૦૯૪ સ્ત્રીઓ પરણેલ છે. તેમાં ૪૯૦૮ વિધુર ભેળવતાં ૫૪૫૯૩ની સંખ્યા થાય છે. જે આમાંથી દરેક વ્યકિત આ વર્ષથી દર વર્ષે ઓછામાં ઓછા ચાર આના આપે તે માત્ર ગુજરાત દેશમાંથી જ આશરે રૂ. ૧૩૦૦૦) જેવી નાદર રકમ મળે એમાં બીલકુલ સંદેહ નથી; અને તેવી રીતે કાઠીઆવાડ, કચ્છ, મારવાડ, માળવા, દક્ષિણ, પંજાબ બેંગાલ આદિ દેશમાંથી દરવર્ષે આશરે માત્ર ઓછામાં ઓછા રૂ. ૧૨૦૦૦ ગણુએ તે દરવર્ષે કેન્ફરન્સ પાસે કુલ રૂ. ૨૫૦૦૦) આવે, આવી વાર્ષિક આવકમાંથી કેન્ફરન્સ કેળવણી માટે જે કરવા ધારશે તે કરી શકશે, એ ચોકકસ છે.
પરંતુ અમારી કેમમાં ચાર આનાથી વધારે આપનારા પણ ઘણુ ગૃહસ્થ છે. ચાર આના જેવી નજીવી રકમ તે જેને પાસોપારીમાં ઉડી જાય, તેવા ગૃહસ્થ તે કેન્ફરન્સ તરફ પિતાને હાથ વધારે લંબાવશે એમ માનવાને અમારી પાસે સબળ કારણે છે.

first sight, suggest much interesting material Preliminary. to our graduates for careful study but a little
consideration will show them that there are few other things that deserve more attention with us, Jains, than this. I request my graduate-friends to wipe off the common but erroneous belief that the subject belongs properly and only to graduates and students in Engineering. In proof of this statement I will say, Architecture is one of the optional subjects prescribed for the final examination for the degree in arts in most of the European Universities.
