૧૪ આવતુ’ અધિવેશન
આ ફૅન્ફિરન્સનું તેરમુ સામાન્ય અધિવેશન મારવાડમાં સેાજત મુકામે મળવા માટે ખાસ અધિવેશ નની બેઠક વેળાએ સેાજત તરફથી રા. શ્રીયુત હીરાલાલ સુરાણાએ આમંત્રણુ આપ્યું હતું જે સ્વીકાર. વામાં આવ્યું હતું. આ અધિવેશન માટે પ્રાથમિક કેટલાક ઉહાપાહ થયા હતા અને તે અધિવેશન અંગે સેાજત જેવા સ્થળે કેટલીક સગવડાની ખાસ જરૂરીઆત અમને માલૂમ પડી હતી. આ ઉપરથી જોધપુરના નામદાર મહારાજા સાહેબને અત્રેથી એક રેપ્રીઝેન્ટેશન તા. ૧૭ મી જાન્યુઆરી ૧૯૨૭ ના દિને મેાકલવામાં આવ્યું હતું. જેમાં કેટલીએક જરૂરીઆતા પૂરી પાડવા માટે તે નામદારને વિનંતિ કરવામાં આવી હતી. ઉક્ત રેપ્રીઝેન્ટેશનને। જવાબ ધાર્યાં કરતાં ઘણા મેાડા એટલે કે ગઇ તા. ૧-૪-૨૭ ના નં. ૬૫૫ ના આ સંસ્થાને તા. ૩-૪-૨૭ ના રાજ મળ્યે છે, જેમાં નામદાર મહારાજા સાહેબે લગભગ બધી માંગણીઓ સ્વીકારી છે તે બદ્દલ તેઓ શ્રીના આભાર માનવામાં આવે છે. જણાવવામાં આવેલા ઉકત પ્રત્યુતરમાં સાજત સ્ટેશનથી સેાજત ગામ જે આશરે ૬-૭ માઇલ દૂર છે તે વચ્ચે રસ્તા ખરાબ થઇ ગએલા હેાવાથી તેનું સમારકામ જોકે ઝડપથી પૂરું કરવા તાકીદ આપવામાં આવી છે તા પણ તે બે માસ કરતાં વહેલું પૂરું થવા સંભવ નથી એમ જણાવવામાં આવે છે.

`અધિવેશનનું સ્થળ મારવાડમાં હાઇ ચાલુ ગર મીની મેાસમ ઘણીજ મુશ્કેલી વાળી ગણાય સિવાય કે પ્રથમ ઇસ્ટરના દિવસે નક્કી કરવામાં આવ્યા હતા તે સમયે ખેટકા મળે જે બનવું અસંભિવત થ પડયું છે. ગરમીની રૂતુ મારવાડની ખેઠકને માટે તદન અસત્શ ગણાય તેમજ ચેામાસું એ બહારગામથી આખા હિંદમાંથી આવનાર ડેલીગેટા વગેરેને મુશ્કેલી વાળું હાઇ સાધારણ અધિવેશન માટે તે સમય અચૈાગ્ય અને મુશ્કેલીઓ વાળા ગણાય જેથી આ આધવેશન ઇસ્ટરના તહેવારેાને બદલે દીવાલી આસપાસ કાઇપણ સમયે યાતા ક્રીસ્ટમસમાં અનુકુળ વિસાએ ભરવા પર મુલતવી રાખવા ફરજ પડી છે.
With reference to your letter No. 485 dated the 17th January, 1927 forwarding a representation to His Highness I am directed to say that it was laid before His Highness who appreciate the Committee's decision to hold the next Session of Shri Jain Swetamber Conference at Sojat (Marwar) during April 1927.
His Highness, while thanking the Committee, for their kind invitation to inagurate the Session, desires me to express his inability to attend.
His Highness has, however, been pleased to consider your other requests favour.

That the Inspector General of Police has been asked to make necessary. police arrangements.
2. That as regards the Road from Sojat Road Station to Sojat City, the work is in progress, but it will not be possible to get it finished before sometime in May. His Highness has however been pleased to grant permission to all and sundry to ply motor vehicles on hire during the fixed period covering the meeting of the Conference. 3. Regarding the Customs Inspection,
