૨ તા. ૧૮ મી એ મળેલી જાહેર સભામાં પસાર થએલા ડરાવા.
ઠરાવ ૧-આજે મળેલી જંતાની જાહેર સભા ડરાવે છે કે મી. કનૈયાલાલ માણેકલાલ મુન્શીએ પોતાના પુસ્તકામાં દાખલા તરીકે ‘પાટણની પ્રભુતા” ગુજરાતના નાથ'' “રાજાધિરાજ” “ગુજરાતના જ્યોર્તિધરા” વિગેરેમાં જૈન ધર્મ તથા ધર્મ ગુરૂ તેમાં ખાસ કરીને કલિકાલ સર્વજ્ઞ શ્રી હેમચંદ્રાચાર્યે અને ઐતિહાસિક જૈન મહાપુરૂષા પર અસત્ય અને અણુટતા આક્ષેપા કરી નેાની લાગણી અત્યંત દુભવી છે તે માટે આ સભા પેાતાના તિરસ્કારપૂર્વક સખ્ત વિરાધ જાહેર કરે છે.

ઠરાવ ૪ થા–મુંબઇ યુનીવર્સીટી અને સરકારી કેળવણી મંડળ તરફથી લેવાતી જુદી જુદી પરીક્ષાઓ માટે પાઠ્ય પુસ્તક તરીકે જૈત સમાજની લાગણી દુખવનારાં અને વાંધાભર્યાં લખાણાથી ભરેલાં મી. મુન્શીનાં પુસ્તકા પૈકી પાટણની પ્રભુતા'' ‘‘ગુજરાતના નાથ” “રાધિરાજ' અને ગુજરાતના જ્યોતિધરા” માંથી કાઇ પ્ણ પુસ્તક પાઠય પુસ્તક તરીકે દાખલ કરવા તરફ આ સભા સખ્ત વિરાધ જાહેર કરે છે.
દરખાસ્તઃ-શેઠે લલ્લુભાઇ ગુલાબચંદ ઝવેરી. કા-શેઠ ઉમેદચ`દઢાલતચ'દ ખરાડીયા.

1. This public meeting of the Jain Comin Bombay strongly protests with contempt against the false and objectionable writings by Mr. K. M, Munshi against the Jain religion, the religious preceptors of the
Jains in general and the most reverable and
Kali-omniscient shri Hemchandracharya
Suri in particular and great historical Jains
in his works viz:—
દરખાસ્ત મુકનારઃ મી. ઓધવજી ધનજી શાહ. ટકા:-શેઠ મણીલાલ માણેકચંદ અનુમાદકઃ–મી. સાકરચંદુ માણેકચંદ ધડીઆલી, ઠરાવ ૨ જો–શ્રી જૈનમ્બેનાંબર કાન્સે મી. મુન્શીને, આવાં વાંધાભર્યાં લખાણેા લખી જૈન કામનીmunity લાગણી દુખવી છે તે માટે દીલગીરી જાહેર કરવા અને ભવિષ્યમાં તેવાં લખાણે! લખશે નહિ અથવા પ્રગટ કરશે નહિ તેવી ખાત્રી આપવા માટે, પુરતી તક આપવા છતાં તેમણે તેમ કર્યું નહિ તેથી આ સભા એવા ઠરાવ કરે છે કે જ્યાંસુધી મી. મુન્શી સતાષકારક જવાબ તથા ઉપરાત પ્રકારની ખાતરી આપે નહિ ત્યાંસુધી વિરાધની નીશાની તરીકે જૈન મતદારાએ મી. મુન્શીની તરફેણમાં મત આપવા નહિં. તેમ કાપણુ અને તેમને મત મેળવી આપવામાં સીધી કે આડકતરી રીતે મદદ કરવી નહીં,

ટંકાઃ–શેઠ સારાભાઇ મગનભાઇ માદી. ઠરાવ ૩ જો-મી. મુન્શીના પાસેથી સતાષકારક જવાબ તથા ખાત્રી મેળવવા માટે કેન્ફરન્સે જે પગલાં ભર્યેા છે તેને આ સભા સંપૂર્ણ ટેકા આપે છે અને વિનતિ કરે છે કે આ ખાયતમાં જ્યાંસુધી સàાષ
