Discovery of Ways to Manifest Unity Beginning with "Living Room Dialogues," Christian laypersons and clergy sought to understand their diverse traditions and appreciate different expressions of faith. They discovered that some social action and far-reaching ministries/programs could be accomplished together. Participants now work to resolve issues concerning low-income populations and cooperatively provide emergency assistance to families facing hunger, eviction, utility disconnections, and other issues. Global Polio Immunization Polio Plus is Rotary International's program to eradicate polio by Rotary's 100th anniversary in 2005. it has contributed over $340 million towards the protection of over 1 billion children. Chiropractic: Healing the World by Reconnecting the Spiritual and the Physical Chiropractors Restoring Energy Worldwide (CREW) travels all over the world giving chiropractic adjustments in order to enhance patients physical and spiritual well-being. Most recently, CREW visited Panama where, over four 6-day missions, 750,000 received the gift of chiropractic adjustment CREW understands chiropractic practice as a means to reconnect man-the-spiritual, with man-the physical. Proper adjustments allow the Spirit to express maximally through each individual. In this sense, it is potentially beneficial and meaningful to everyone regardless of their particular religious beliefs. By adjusting the spine, chiropractors can release a person's mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual interference so that he or she can realize their true, God-given genetic potential. C.R.E.W. The Gift of Sight Since 1978, SEVA has worked with its partners to treat cataracts and restore sight to over one million people in India, Nepal, Tibet, Cambodia and Malawi Through reaching out to potential donors, SEVA funds and helps to establish cataract operations and cataract eye-camps for needy communities. Gifts range from $30 (the cost of a cataract operation in Nepal to restore sight to one individual) to $15.000 (the cost of a 15-day eye camp in remote regions of Tibet, restoring sight to hundreds).
