Young Jains of America (YJA), the Jain Youth Society of Greater Atlanta (JYSGA) and the Jain Center of Greater Saint Louis are joining efforts to put together an assortment of incredible exhibits, including the YJA North American Scrapbook, for the Second Biennial Young Jains of America
Convention.
Currently, JYSGA is coordinating the convention exhibition while the St. Louis Youth Group is assembling the North American Scrapbook. Both groups would like help
from Jain centers across North America to put together a successful exhibition! Exhibits may address any topics relevant to the
YJA/SFCC is subsidizing almost $50,000 for the conven
tion! Can we count on you to help?

Young Jains of America (YJA) is the umbrella youth organization of the Federation of Jain Associations in North America (JAINA). The mission of YJA is to be recognized nationally and internationally as an umbrella youth organization for establishing a network to share Jain heritage and religion through youth.

The scrapbook is a yearbook-style exhibit that will highlight activities and members of Jain youths from across North America. We would like you to send pictures, articles, or material that represents your youth group.

Call for Papers
Papers, essays, short stories, columns, art, and poetry are invited for the Young Minds Commemorative Souvenir Edition of the Second Biennial YJA Convention to be held July 4-6, 1996 in San Francisco, CA.
Submissions may address any topics relevant to the cultural, religions, philosophical, and social experiences of Jain youths in North America and around the world. Submissions relating to the convention theme, "Jainism: Interlacing Philosophy and Practice," are highly encouraged. However, submissions are not restricted to the above topics, and individuals are encouraged to submit any original work which they find relevant.
Submissions will be selected for publication using several criteria, including (but not limited to) clarity, content, originality, clarity, and relevance to high school, college, pre-professional, and professional Jain youth. All submissions must be received by June 1, 1996.
