________________ १३९ That, own religion, even if it lacks some religious qualities, is better than others religion well conducted. If needed, to sacrifice even life for the cause of own religion is auspicious because others religions are fearful. Inferiority of Others' Religions Religious teachers and prophets are found very interested not only in praising and popularising their own religions but also in defaming others' religions. They deform the technical terms having right forms of other religions, so that people may have their wrong meanings and unsocial senses. In the Hindi speaking areas there are two very popular words - Luccă and Buddhu - which are always used in a bad sense. The word Luccă means that man who is a wrong-doer and whose words are not worthy to be believed. This word is the deformation of the Jaina word Luncä. In the Jaina religion monks and nuns pluck threir hairs without using any razor or scissor or blade. That plucking activity is known as “Luncana'. The person who does 'Luncana' is named as ‘Luncā”. Particularly this word is used for the Jaina-saints. The religious teachers and prophets of the Vedic tradition do not accept the philosophical and religious theories propounded by the Jaina philosophers and prophets. According to them, the Jaina philosophical theories and religious practices are meaningless and useless. So, due to jealousy against Jainism the Vedic prophets have declared that the words of a ‘Luncā' are not worthy to be believed. In the flux of time the word "Luncă' has been changed as 'Luccā' which is very commonly used for a wrong-doer and unbelievable person. The word 'Buddhu' is the deformation of the word 'Buddha' of Buddhist tradition. The envious intension of the Vedic religious teachers have caused this deformity. The word ‘Buddhu' means foolish while the word 'Buddha' means wiseman. In Buddhism, Buddha is he who has attained true knowledge after renouncing all worldly attachments and practising penance. But the Vedic religious teachers have attached a wrong meaning with this word. According to them, Buddha is Buddhu or foolish. Actually Buddha has refuted the Vedic philosophy and religious teachings. Therefore they have declared Buddhists as Buddhus. But now the word ‘Buddhu' is used for any wrong doer and foolishman.
