________________ १४९ · (5) Interpretation of Extracted verse or verses Yograśastra Satarthavivarana by Mānaśāgaragaņi, pupil of Buddhisāgarasūri, pupil of Hiravijayasūri, on the verse occurring in Yogaśāstra (2/12) of Hemacandra. The verse was explained in 106 different expressions by Mānasāgara, on the instruction of his grand teacher Hiravijayasūri. The Ācārya applied it to the description of 24 Tirthankaras, Jinavāņi, Śāsanadevī, Pañcaparameșthi, Brahmā, Vişnu, Maheśvara, Pärvati, Lakşmi, Sarasvati, Jñāna, Kāma, Hīravijayasūri, Vijayasenasūri, Akber, Navagraha, Sura Astadikapāla, Rāma, 14 dreams and Buddhisāgara. The manuscripts of this comm. are available in the collections of Manuscripts at Baroda and Lymbdi. Yogaśāstra (2/85) of Ācārya Hemacandra has found favour with, as the interpretations of its three verses are found. According to Jayadevasūri its verse 2/85 contained 100 meanings. Yogaśāstra (1/1) was interpreted in 500 contexts by Lābhavijayagani in 700 contexts by Meghavijayagani (1615 AD). Kumāravihāraprašastikävya, its 87th verse, was so composed by Varddhamânagaņi, pupil of Hemacandra, as to connote 6 contexts. It is remarkable that Varddhamānagani's pupil explained it in 116 contexts. Şadaśottaraśatārthi-padya by Varddhamānasāgaragaņi, pupil of Hemacandrasūri. The 87th verse of the Kumāravihäraśataka gives 106 meanings. Significantly, the poet has explained it only in six contexts but his pupil, in his commentary, explained it in more than hundred meanings. Some of the contexts in which it has been explained is; Brahmā, Maheśvara, Surapati, Vaiśvānara, Varuņa, Väyu, Kṛtānta, Nāgaraja, Lakşmi, Rājahansa, Candra, Sürya, Hemacandra, Dharma, Artha, Moksa etc. Pub. ed.
