___The verse quoted in Astaka Prakarana (6/21), and occurred in Rāmāyaṇa, respectively, are as follows --
अङ्गेष्वेव जरां यातु यत्त्वयोपकृतं मम । नरः प्रत्युपकाराय विपत्सु लभते फलम् ।। अङ्गेष्वेव जरा यातु यत्त्वयोपकृतं कपे । नरः प्रत्युपकाराणामापत्सु लभते फलम् ।।
- उत्तरकाण्ड, रामायण Thus, the word as occurred in Rāmāyaṇa, aptly corroborates the version that this utterance is related only with Rama and Hanūmāna while that Aștaka Prakaraņa (having 44) may be interpreted both ways i.e. Rāma to Hanūmāna, or Sugreeva to Rāma).
It may be possible that commentator might have a recension of Rāmāyaṇa in which Sugreeva is depicted as having uttered like this or the commentators assumption or source of information was not correct.
Again in 25th 'Punyānubandhipunyapradhānaphalāstakaṁ Haribhadra cites the particular volition of Mahāvīra, while he was still in embryo, about not leaving the home in the life-time of his parents.
जीवितो गृहवासेऽस्मिन् यावन्मे पितराविमौ । तावदेवाधिवत्स्यामि गृहानहमपीष्टतः ।। ४/२५
A sūtra and gāthā containing the same theme occur in Kalpasūtra and Visesavasyakabhāsya, respectively, as follows --
नो खलु मे कप्पइ अम्मापिऊहिं जीवंतेहिं मुंडे । भवित्ता अगाराओ अणगारिअं पव्वइत्तए ।।
– कल्पसूत्र अह सत्तमम्मि मासे गन्मत्यो चेव अभिग्गहं गिण्हे । नाहं समणो होइ अम्मापियरम्मि जीवंते त्ति ।।
