प्रकट हो जाते हैं। एकत्व दृष्टि के कारण वह सर्वत्र आत्मा का ही दर्शन करता है। घृणा, द्वेष, जुगुप्सा आदि सभी भाव द्वैत के कारण उत्पन्न होते हैं किन्तु जिसे सर्वत्र आत्मा ही दिखाई देता है वह किससे घृणा अथवा जुगुप्सा करेगा? आत्मतत्त्व के प्रबुद्ध हो जाने पर जीवनमुक्त पुरुष अलौकिक आनन्द में निमग्न रहते हुए किसी भी पदार्थ में द्वैत नहीं देखता है। अहंकार के नष्ट हो जाने के कारण वह अंहकारजनित विकारों से सर्वथा परे हो जाता है।
___ अन्य वेदान्तियों की अपेक्षा श्री अरविन्द ने आत्मा के व्यावहारिक पक्ष पर अधिक बल दिया है। परमतत्त्व आत्मा तो अलौकिक अनिर्वचनीय स्वरूप वाला है, अत: वह मनुष्य के लिए अज्ञेय है। आत्मा के व्यावहारिक पक्ष के रूप में श्री अरविन्द ने वस्तुतः आत्मज्ञानी के सामाजिक जीवन तथा व्यवहार को ही स्वीकार किया है।
