અપનાવવાનો એક સફળ પ્રયત્ન છે. ભાગવતની ભક્તિના માર્ગે સંચરનાર તો “પરમ ભગવદીય બનાવવાથી લોકોને એક છત્ર નીચે લાવવાનું કામ કર્યું છે. શાક્તો, તાંત્રિકો અને રામભક્તોએ પણ આ રાહ અપનાવ્યો છે. સાથે સાથે અનેક દેવવાદોને માનનારાઓને અન્યાશ્રયનો ભય બતાવી શ્રીકૃષ્ણના આશ્રિત બતાવ્યા છે. આથી વિભિન્ન પુરાણોમાં નિરૂપિત અવતારોને સ્વીકારી ‘કૃMાસ્તુ માવાનું સ્વયમ્'ની કથા પુરાણોમાં ભાગવતનો જ પરમાશ્રયની તરફ લઈ જનારું મહાપુરાણ કહ્યું છે. દશ લક્ષણાત્મક પુરાણો કે ભાગવતોમાં કેવળ શ્રીમદ્ભાગવત જ મહાપુરાણ છે.”
