Conservation
Preventive conservation provides the most effective use of resources for preservation of the collection. The application of preventive conservation measures should take precedence over conservation treatment. Conservation treatment should take precedence over restoration. The conservation professional should practise within the limits of personal competence and education as well as within the limits of available facilities. The conservation professional must strive to select the methods and materials that, to the best of current knowledge, do not adversely affect manuscript or
its future examination, scientific investigation. • The conservation professional should provide document examination, scientific
investigation and given treatment by creating records. Any new addition or modification (removal of pencil mark or ritual signs for worshipping etc.) to the manuscript by means of restoration should be done by proper consultation with in-charge/owner, art historian or other experts in the field, and all new additions should be done by easily reversible techniques and
