the civilization. In Harappan times, rice and wheat were also used, such as are mentioned in later vedic texts like Atharvaveda. The general civilization shown in the Vedas refect both Harappan and pre-Harappan eras and shows

Recent researches have proved that before 3000 B.C.Saraswati was the largest river in India and drained the Satalaj and Yamuna, whose courses were much different from what they are today. This river went dry before 1900 B.C. i.e. the end of the Harappan culture.
