યક્ષપ્રશ્ન આર્યોનો : ઐતિહાસિક વિશ્લેષણ ધાર્મિક અને તાત્ત્વિક વિચારો અહીં અભ્યદય પામીને ગ્રીસ અને ભૂમધ્ય સમુદ્રના દેશોમાં નિકાસ પામ્યા હતા. આપણી તો વેદપરંપરા છે કે Science and religion were not only compatible but essentially identical, because both endeavour to know the truth.
નવરત્ન એસ. રાજારામ અને નટવર ઝાએ સંયુક્ત પરિશ્રમથી ધ ડીસાયર્ડ ઇન્ડસ સ્ક્રિપ્ટ નામનો ગ્રંથ લખ્યો છે જેમાં તેમણે આર્ય આક્રમણના પ્રવર્તમાન વિવાદનું નિરસન કરીને ઘણા બધા ક્ષતિગ્રસ્ત મુદ્દાઓની નોધ કરીને તેમણે સિધુ લિપિને વૈદિક લિપિ સાથે સરખાવી છે. આ ગ્રંથ ઘણી બધી રીતે ધ્યાનાર્હ છે.
આપણા દેશનાં ઈતિહાસ અને સંસ્કૃતિનાં આલેખનોમાં હજીય જે કેટલાક ભ્રામક વિચારો જળોની જેમ જોડાઈ રહ્યા છે તેમાંથી સવેળા મુક્ત થવા અને કોઈ ખાસ વિચારની પ્રતિબદ્ધતા રાખ્યા વિના તટસ્થ રીતે આલેખનો થતાં રહે તેવા આશય દિલ્હી સ્થિત ઇન્ડિયન હિસ્ટરી ઍન્ડ કલ્ચર સોસાયટી નામની સંસ્થાએ વીસમી સદીના અંત પ્રસંગે વિદાયની આહૂતિરૂપે “હિસ્ટરી ટુડે' નામનું વાર્ષિક પ્રગટ કર્યું છે. સંપાદકીય Ruhi The History Today is not based on any particular line of thought or bias. The vision of this journal had in fact emerged after long deliberations amongst founding fathers of the Indian History and Culture Society. It is an organisation of welf-meaning people who want to study and understand human history with the vision of a true historian... One should try to listen to those throbs, thrills, tensions, challenges, achievements and performances through the sources of history. History resides in literature, manuscripts, archaerlogical remains, buildings and folklore, keeping in view the conditions and environments. 34 પરિપ્રેક્ષ્યમાં આ સામયિકના પ્રથમ અંકમાં જે લેખો છે તેમાં ભ્રામક નિરૂપણો પરત્વે લાલબત્તી ધરી છે. આપણા આ પ્રબંધમાં જે મુદ્દાની મીમાંસા કરી છે તે સંદર્ભે લખાયેલા કેટલાક ગ્રંથોનાં અવલોકનો અને તે ગ્રંથોમાં પૂર્વગ્રહિત નિરૂપણોના ઉત્તરો પણ પ્રસ્તુત છે તે પણ ધ્યાનાર્હ છે.
