विरोधमूलेन कार्यकारणपौर्वापर्यविपर्ययरूपेणातिशयोक्त्यलकारेणेत्यर्थः ।......अधरे। निर्दष्टः शनवो व्यापादिताश्चेति तुल्यमेव काल योगे। ययास्तौ तुल्ययोगिनी तयोर्भावस्तुल्ययोगितेतिव्युत्पत्या समुच्चयालङ्कारो व्यज्यत इति भावः ।
The new Ed. of K.P.D. has given कार्यकारणयोः for कार्यकारण & 'च' is added after निर्दष्टः , तुल्यमेवकाल is replaced by तुल्यमेककाल', and fullstop is placed after तुल्ययोगिनी.
Compare : the Vrtti on SD. 4.9A which has little difference in idea
अत्र स्वतःस भविना विरोधालङ्कारेणाघरो निर्दष्ट: शत्रवो व्यापादिताश्चेति समुच्चया

मन्त्र भगवद्वियोगज दुःख तदनु ध्यान सुख च जन्मसहस्रोपभोग्यसुकृतदुष्कृतफलराशितादात्म्येनाध्यवसितमिति अशेषचयपदाभ्यमतिशयोक्तिय॑ज्यते । Compare-the vrtti on S.D. 4 10 A अनाशेषचयपदप्रभावादनेकजन्मसहस्रभाग्यदु कृतसुकृतफलराशितादात्म्याध्यवसिततया भगवतिरहदुःखचिन्ताहलादये। प्रत्यायनमित्यतिशयोक्तिद्वयप्रतीतिरशेषचयपदद्वयद्योत्या ।
It may be noted that the K.P.D. Ed. by Goparaju Rama requires much to be corrected. It is hardly a critical edition in the real sense of the term, however the effoit in bringing out the first edition is to be admired. The two works of Visvanātha resemble closely and the influence of S. D. is quite obvious. We first deatt with this subject in a separate chapter in our thesis. This happens to be further study.
