Such forms are traceable in Amg, canon and Paumacariyam. (ii) Acc. Sg. forms : (a) There are several instances of 'a' and '1' ending original
feminine stems used as Acc. sg., e.g. कमलसेणा (56.6), कंटयसाहा (61.5), पुरिससहस्सवाहिणी (16.2), दासढी (31.19), रोवमाणी
(36.9), होती (37.21), करेमाणी (56.6) etc.. (b) सुरभिपुप्फदाम (ततो से सुरभिपुप्फदाम सेवासं (2) उरे उलएइ-(66.14)
Neut., 'e' ending stem. In the PCV1 also we find such feminine forms. 3. Shortening of ending long vowel of Fem. stems, Nom. sg:
इथि (तहा इत्थि पुरिसो नपुंसगो य कम्मव सगा जीवो-10.21). The editor has wrongly suggested इत्थी for original इस्थि.
4, Nom. Sg. form of 'a' ending Masc. base, changing in ou': ..
पायवडिउम्पादपतितः (पियदसणमूसुगो...पायवडिउ विन्नवेइ-19.15). We can not be sure of this form because there is probability of the scribe's error in writing ओ as उ.
5, Use of long vowel in place of a nasalised short vowel in Ace. Sg : (i) निज्जिय सत्तू (तो हं निजिजय सत्तू अज्जुणयं हतूर्ण ...पस्थिओ उज्जेणि-46.8), Masc.
'u' ending stem. (ii) वकलचीरी (कढिणेण वहइ रिसि वकलचीरी-19.17). Masc. i ending stem. (iii) उपलद्धी (सो....उवलद्धी करेत्ता आगतो-33.14), सुहबुद्धी (....परिभोए मुहबुद्धी
___ अणो परिकप्पेइ-15.14), असिलठ्ठी (एयं ताव असिलट्ठी गिण्हसु-48.38), Fem. ___i ending stem.
6. Appending of short na' as Inst. sg. termination (though after lengthening the preceding short vowel of the base, which is again metricausa)
। मत्तूण (मोत्तव्यो य पिएण, मत्तण य आवयंतेण ॥ -35.8 in a verse), Masc. " ending stem. Such forms are traceable in PCV. and Dhūrtākhyānam. Pischel (379) notes अट्ठीण, मुट्ठीण in Amg. but either before enclitic or in the end. Pischel (405) quotes from Ava. Erzahlungen मन्तीण metri-causa,
