आदि जो जीव अपने योग्य शुभ कर्म के वश से किल्विष देव होकर लान्तव कल्प पर्यन्त ही उत्पन्न होते हैं, इससे ऊपर नहीं। ये भी अपने उत्पत्ति-क्षेत्र की जघन्यायु से सहित होते हैं। इसी प्रकार मनुष्य पर्याय में जो जीव पाप-क्रियाओं में, स्वहस्त-व्यापार है लक्षण जिसका ऐसी आभियोग्य भवना से युक्त अर्थात् नाई, धोबी एवं दास आदि के करने योग्य कार्यों को स्वहस्त से करते हुए उन्हीं परिणामों से युक्त हैं, वे जीव अपने योग्य शुभकर्म के वश से आभियोग्य देव होकर अच्युत कल्प पर्यन्त उत्पन्न होते हैं, इससे ऊपर नहीं। इनकी भी अपने उत्पत्ति-क्षेत्र की जघन्यायु ही होती है। १३८. प्रश्न : वैमानिक देवों की कितनी शक्ति होती है ? उत्तर : एक पल्योपम प्रमाण आयु वाला देव पृथ्वी के छह खण्डों को उखाड़ने में और उनमें स्थित मनुष्यों और तिर्यञ्चों को मारने अथवा पोषण करने में समर्थ है। ___ सागरोपम प्रमाण काल पर्यन्त जीवित रहने वाला देव जम्बूद्वीप को पलटने में और उसमें स्थित मनुष्यों और तिर्यञ्चों को मारने अथवा पोषने में समर्थ है।
