७६. प्रश्न : खोटे मनुष्यों को चाहने के कारण किन्नर,
कुत्सित पुरुषों की कामना करने के कारण किम्पुरुष, मांस खाने से पिशाच इत्यादि कारणों से ये संज्ञायें क्यों
नहीं मानते ? उत्तर : व्यन्तरों में किम्पुरुष आदि की क्रिया-निमित्तक संज्ञा मानना उचित नहीं है, यह सब तो देवों का अवर्णवाद है।
ये देव पवित्र वैक्रियिक शरीरधारी होते हैं। ये कभी अशुचि औदारिक शरीर वाले मनुष्य आदि की कामना नहीं करते हैं और न मांस-मदिरादि के खान-पान में ही प्रवृत्त होते हैं। लोक में जो व्यन्तरों की मांसादि-ग्रहण की प्रवृत्ति सुनी जाती है, वह केवल उनकी क्रीड़ा मात्र है। उनके तो मानसिक आहार होता है।
