१५६. प्रश्न : तिर्यंच जीवों की गति - आगति की क्या व्यवस्था है ?
उत्तर : पृथ्वीकायिक जीव आदि से लेकर वनस्पतिकायिक पर्यन्त स्थावर और सर्व विकलेन्द्रिय जीव कर्मभूमिज मनुष्य एवं तिर्यंचों में उत्पन्न होते हैं, किन्तु तेजस्कायिक और वायुकायिक जीव अनन्तर जन्म में तिर्यंचों में ही उत्पन्न होते हैं ।
संज्ञी पर्याप्त और असंज्ञी पर्याप्त जीवों को छोड़कर शेष ३२ प्रकार के तिर्यंच जीव भोगभूमि में, देव और नारकियों में कदापि - उत्पन्न नहीं होते हैं।
असंज्ञी जीव प्रथम नरक के नारकियों में, भवनत्रिक में और समस्त कर्मभूमियों के मनुष्यों एवं तिर्यचों में उत्पन्न होते हैं। शेष जीव घनलोक प्रमाण क्षेत्र में सर्वत्र उत्पन्न होते हैं।
संख्यात् वर्ष की आयु वाले कर्मभूमिज संज्ञी तियंच जीव अच्युत स्वर्ग पर्यन्त देवों में तथा मनुष्य, तिर्यंच और नारकियों में भी उत्पन्न होते हैं, किन्तु असंख्यात् वर्ष की आयु वाले भोगभूमिज संज्ञी जीव ईशान कल्प पर्यन्त ही उत्पन्न होते हैं। इस प्रकार ३४
