उत्तर : संयम के सात भेद हैं- (१) सामायिक, (२) छेदोपस्थापना,
(३) परिहार-विशुद्धि, (४) सूक्ष्मसाम्पराय, (५) यथाख्यात, (६) संयमासंयम और (७) असंयम। सामायिक, छेदोपस्थापना और परिहारविशुद्धि ये तीन संयम बादर संज्वलन कषाय के देशघाति-स्पर्धकों का उदय रहते हुए होते हैं। सामायिक और छेदोपस्थापना संयम छठे गुणस्थान से नौवें गुणस्थान तक होता है। परिहारविशुद्धि सथम छठे और सातवें गुणस्थान मे होता है। सूक्ष्मसाम्पराय संयम सूक्ष्मकृष्टि को प्राप्त संज्वलन लोभ का उदय रहते हुए सूक्ष्मसाम्पराय नामक दसवें गुणस्थान में होता है। यथाख्यात संयम सम्पूर्ण मोहनीय कर्म के उपशम से ग्यारहवें गुणस्थान में तथा सम्पूर्ण मोहनीय कर्म के क्षय से बारहवें आदि गुणस्थानों में होता है। संयमासंयम अप्रत्याख्यानावरण कषाय के क्षयोपशम
