भाव, द्वितीय गुणस्थान में पारिणामिक भाव, तृतीय गुणस्थान में क्षायोपशमिक भाव और चतुर्थ गुणस्थान में औपशमिक, क्षायिक और क्षायोपशमिक तीनों ही भाव पाये जाते हैं। दर्शनमोहनीय कर्म की अपेक्षा देशविरत, प्रमत्तविरत और अप्रमत्तविरत इन तीनों गुणस्थानों में औपशामक, क्षायिक और क्षायोपशमिक भाव पाये जाते हैं। चारित्रमोहनीय कर्म की अपेक्षा इन तीनों गुणस्थानों में मात्र क्षायोपशमिक भाव पाया जाता है। दर्शनमोहनीय कर्म की अपेक्षा उपशम श्रेणी वाले आठवें, नौवें, दसवें और ग्यारहवें गुणस्थानों में औपशमिक और क्षायिक भाव पाया जाता है। चारित्रमोहनीय कर्म की अपेक्षा इन चारों गुणस्थानों में मात्र औपशमिक भाव ही पाया जाता है। दर्शनमोहनीय एवं चारित्रमोहनीय कर्म की अपेक्षा क्षपक श्रेणी वाले आठवें, नौवें, दसवें और बारहवें गुणस्थानों में एक क्षायिक भाव ही पाया जाता है। सयोगकेवली, अयोगकेवली और गुणस्थानातीत सिद्धों में भी नियम से एक क्षायिक भाव ही पाया जाता है।
