मतान्तर का उल्लेख
किन्तु इस विषय में किन्हीं आचार्यों का ऐसा भी मत है कि यद्यपि सोलह कषायों के क्षय का प्रारम्भ पहले कर दिया जाता है, तो भी आठ कषायों के क्षय हो जाने पर ही उक्त स्त्यानद्धित्रिक आदि सोलह प्रकृतियों का क्षय होता है। इसके पश्चात् नौ नोकषायों और चार संज्वलन, इन तेरह प्रकृतियों का अन्तरकरण करता है। अन्तरकरण करने के बाद नपुंसकवेद के उपरितन स्थितिगत दलिकों का उद्वलना विधि से क्षय करता है और इस प्रकार अन्तर्मुहर्त में उसकी पल्य के असंख्यातवें भाग प्रमाण स्थिति शेष रह जाती है। तत्पश्चात् इसके (नपुंसकवेद के) दलिकों का गुणसंक्रम के द्वारा बंधने वाली अन्य प्रकृतियों में निक्षेप करता है। इस प्रकार अन्तर्मुहूर्त में इसका समूल नाश हो जाता है। यहाँ इतना विशेष जानना चाहिये कि जो जीव नपुंसकवेद के उदय के साथ क्षपकणि पर चढ़ता है वह उसके अधस्तन दलिकों का वेदन करते हुए क्षय करता है । इस प्रकार नपुंसक वेद का क्षय हो जाने पर अन्तर्मुहूर्त में इसी क्रम से स्त्रीवेद का क्षय किया जाता है ! तदनन्तर छह नोकषायों के क्षय का एक साथ प्रारम्भ किया जाता है । छह नोकषायों के क्षय का आरम्भ कर लेने के पश्चात् इनका संक्रमण पुरुषवेद में न होकर संज्वलन क्रोध में होता है और इस प्रकार इनका क्षय कर दिया जाता है। सूत्र में भी कहा है
...''पच्छा नपुंसगं स्थी। तो नोकसायछक्के छुम्मा संजलगकोहम्मि । जिस समय छह नोकषायों का क्षय होता है, उसी समय पुरुषवेद के बंध, उदय और उदीरणा की व्युच्छित्ति होती है तथा एक समय कम दो आवलि प्रमाण समय प्रबद्ध को छोड़कर पुरुषवेद के शेष दलिकों
