अनन्तर आठवें गुणस्थान में अप्रत्याख्यानावरणकषायचतुष्क' और प्रत्याख्यान्दावरूपषायतियों के क्षय को प्रारम्भ करता है । ये आठ प्रकृतियाँ पूर्ण रूप से क्षय नहीं हो पातीं कि बीच में ही नौवें गुणस्थान के प्रारम्भ में स्त्यानद्धित्रिक नरकद्विक, तियं द्विक, जातिचतुष्क और आतप, उद्योत, स्थावर, सूक्ष्म, साधारण इन सोलह प्रकृतियों का क्षय कर डालता है। इसके अनन्तर अप्रत्याख्यानावरणकषाय च तुष्क और प्रत्याख्यानावरणकषायचतुष्क का क्षय होने से शेष रहा हुआ भाग क्षय करता है और नौवें गुणस्थान के अन्त में क्रम से नपुंसकवेद, स्त्रीवेद, हास्यादिषट्क, पुरुषवेद, संज्वलन क्रोध, मान और माया का क्षय करता है । अन्त में दसव गुणस्थान में संज्वलन लोभ का भी क्षय कर देता है। इस प्रकार सम्पूर्ण मोहनीयकर्म का क्षय होने पर बारहवें गुणस्थान की प्राप्ति होती है ।

बारहवें गुणस्थान को जघन्य और उत्कृष्ट कालस्थिति अन्तर्मुहूर्त प्रमाण है और इस गुणस्थान में वर्तमान जीव क्षपकश्रेणी वाले ही होते हैं ।
(१३) सयोगिकेवलो गुणस्थान जो चार घातीकर्मों (ज्ञानावरण, दर्शनावरण, मोहनीय और अन्तराय) का क्षय करके केवलज्ञान- केवलदर्शन प्राप्त कर चुके हैं, जो पदार्थ के जानने-देखने में इन्द्रिय, आलोक
