गोम्मटसार कर्मकाण्ड-४७५ आगे प्रकृतियों के भेदों की संख्या कहते हैं
बिदिये बिगिपणमयदे. खटुणवएक्कं खअट्टचउरो य।
छट्टे चउसुण्णसगं, पयडिवियप्पा अपुण्णम्हि ॥४९९ ।। अर्थ- सासादनगुणस्थानके वैक्रियकमिश्रकाययोगमें २,५.५ अर्थात् 'अङ्कानां वामतो गतिः' इसके अनुसार ५१२, असंयतगुणस्थानके वैक्रियिकमिश्न और कार्मणकाययोगमें ०,२,९,१ अर्थात् १९२० च शब्दसे असंयतगुणस्थानके औदारिकमिश्रकाययोगमें शून्य-आठ-चार अर्थात् ४८० तथा प्रमत्तगुणस्थानके आहारक-आहारकमिश्रकाययोगमें चार, शून्य, सात अर्थात् ७०४ अङ्करूप प्रकृतियों के भेद अपर्याप्तावस्थामें होते हैं। इन भेदोंको पूर्ववर्ती भेदोंमें मिलाना चाहिए। अब सर्वभेदोंको मिलाकर जो संख्या प्राप्त हुई उसे बताते हैं
पणदालछस्सयाहियअट्ठासीदोसहस्समुदयस्स।
पयडीणं परिसंखा, जोगं पडि मोहणीयस्स ॥५००। अर्थ- इसप्रकार सर्वभेदोको मिलानेसे मोहनीयकर्मकी प्रकृतियोंकी संख्या योगकी अपेक्षा ८८,६४५ होती है, ऐसा जानना। अथानन्तर संयम के आश्रय से स्थानादि कहते हैं
तेरसयाणि सत्तरिसत्तेव य मेलिदे हवंतित्ति ।
ठाणवियप्पे जाणसु, संजमलंबेण मोहस्स ॥५०१॥ अर्थ- संयमकी अपेक्षासे मोहनीयकर्मके उदयस्थानोंके भेद १३७७ होते हैं ऐसा जानना चाहिए।
विशेषार्थ- सयमके अवलम्बनकी अपेक्षासे मोहनीयकर्मके उदयस्थानोंके भेद १३७७ हैं। वे इसप्रकार घटित होते हैं-प्रमत्त व अप्रमत्तगुणस्थानमें सामायिक, छेदोपस्थापना और परिहारविशुद्धि ये तीनसयम हैं। इनको आठ-आठस्थानसे गुणा करनेपर २४-२४ स्थान होते हैं और उन स्थानों की ४४ प्रकृतियोंको तीनसंयमसे गुणा करनेपर १३२-१३२ प्रकृतियाँ होती हैं। अपूर्वकरणगुणस्थानमें सामायिक, छेदोपस्थापना ये दो संयम हैं। इनके ४-४ स्थान मिलकर आठस्थान हुए और २०-२० प्रकृति मिलकर ४० प्रकृतियाँ हैं। इनको तथा प्रमत्त-अप्रमत्तगुणस्थानके स्थान और प्रकृतिर्योको २४ भंगोंसे गुणा करना एवं अनिवृत्तिकरणगुणस्थानके सवेदभागमें एकस्थान और २ प्रकृतिको २ संयमसे गुणा करनेपर दोस्थान और ४ प्रकृति होती हैं। इनको पुनः १२ भंगोंसे गुणा करना तथा अवेदभागमें एकस्थान एकप्रकृतिको
