जो स्त्र-स्व लेश्या के अनुसार मरण करके देवगति में जाता है, उसी के देवगति में अपर्याप्तकाल में द्वितीय उपशमसम्यक्त्व होता है ।।७३०॥
विशेषार्थ—एक मात्र देवों में गमन का कारण यह है कि ऐसे जीव का अबद्धप्रायुष्क का तो मरण उपशम श्रेणो में होता नहीं और प्रायुबंध भी हुआ हो तो नियम से ऐसे जीव के देवायु ही सम्भव है, क्योंकि, अन्य नरक, तिर्यंच, मनुष्य प्रायु के बन्ध होने पर तो वह श्रेणी चढ़े या संयम पामाशिक संयम देश संगम) पावे, यह भी असंभव है ।' अतः उस सम्यक्त्वी के पास सत्त्व मनुष्यायु के सिवाय (मरण से पूर्व) किसी भी स्थिति में देवायू का भी बन पाता है, अन्य का नहीं। अत: गमन भी ऐसे जीव का देवों में ही होना बताया है।
माङ्का--द्वितीयोपशम सम्यक्त्व की उत्पत्ति किस गुणस्थान वाले जीव के होती है ?
समाधान-मात्र असंयत सम्यक्त्वी से अप्रमत्तसंयत तक के किसी भी गुणी के इसकी उत्पत्ति सम्भव है।
शंका-द्वितीय उपशम सम्यक्त्व किसे कहते हैं ?
समाधान-उपशम श्रेणी चढ़ते समय क्षयोपशम सम्यवत्व से जो उपशम सम्यक्त्व होता है उसे द्वितीयउपशम सम्यक्त्व कहते हैं।
शङ्का-सारतः द्वितीय उपशम सम्यक्त्व कहाँ-कहाँ सम्मन्न है ? समाधान—पर्याप्त मनुष्यगति में व निर्वृ त्यपर्याप्त देवगति, इन दो में ।'
शंका-द्वितीयोपशम सम्यक्त्वी इम द्वितीयोपशम सम्यक्त्व काल के भीतर छह प्रावली के शेष रहने पर सामादन को भी प्राप्त हो सकता है क्या?
समाधान-हाँ, पर यह उपदेश कषायप्राभूत चूणिसूत्र' (यतिवृषभ प्राचार्य कृत) के अनुसार है। किन्तु भगवान् भूतबली के उपदेशानुसार उपशम श्रेणी से उतरा हुमा मामादन गुणस्थान को प्राप्त नहीं करता है । प्रज्ञाभाव में उभयमन यावत् केवलीसन्निधि सङ्ग्रहणीय है।
