पच्चक्खाणे विज्जाणुवादकल्लाणपारणवादे य।
किरियाविसालपुब्वे कमसोथ तिलोयबिंदुसारे य ॥३४६।। गाथार्य-उत्पादपूर्व, आग्रायणीयपूर्व, वीर्यप्रवादपूर्व, अस्तिनास्तिप्रवादपूर्व, ज्ञानप्रवादपूर्व, सत्यप्रवादपूर्व, प्रात्मप्रवादपूर्व, कर्मप्रचारपूर्व, प्रमान वारपूर्ग, जीनुदान, कल्याणवादपूर्व, प्राणवादपूर्व, क्रियाविशालपूर्व, त्रिलोकबिन्दुसारपूर्व क्रमशः पूर्वज्ञान के चौदह भेद हैं ।। ३४५-३४६।।
विशेषार्थ-बारहवाँ इष्टिबाद अङ्ग पाँच प्रकार का है—परिकर्म, सूत्र, प्रथमानुयोग, पूर्वगत और चूलिका। उनमें से पूर्वगत चौदह प्रकार का है। यथा-उत्पादपूर्व, आग्रायणीय, वीर्यानप्रवाद, अस्तिनास्तिप्रवाद, ज्ञानप्रवाद, सत्यप्रवाद, प्रात्मप्रवाद, कर्मप्रवाद, प्रत्याख्यानप्रवाद, विद्यानुप्रवाद, कल्याणप्रवाद, प्राणाबाय, क्रियाविशाल और लोकबिन्दुसार। इन चौदह पुर्यों में क्रमसे दस, चौदह, पाठ, अठारह, बारह बारह, सोलह, बीस, तीस, पन्द्रह, दस, दस, दस और दस, इतनी वस्तुएं अर्थात् महा-अधिकार होते हैं। प्रत्येक वस्तु में बीस-बीस प्राभृत अर्थात् अवान्तर अधिकार होते हैं। एक-एक प्राभृत में चौबीस-चौबीस प्राभृतप्राभूत होते हैं।'
वस्तुज्ञान के ऊपर एक-एक अक्षर की वृद्धि के क्रम से पद, संघात, प्रतिपत्ति, अनुयोग, प्रामृतप्राभृत आदि की वृद्धि होते-होते जब दस वस्तु की वृद्धि होजाय तब प्रथम उत्पादपूर्व का ज्ञान हो जाता है। इसके आगे श्रम से एक-एक अक्षर आदि की वृद्धि होते-होते चौदह वस्तु की वृद्धि होने में एक अक्षर कम रह जाय वहाँ तक उत्पादपूर्व समास ज्ञान होता है। उसमें एक अक्षर की वृद्धि होजाने पर प्राग्रायणीयपूर्व का ज्ञान पूर्ण होजाता है। इसके प्रागे एक अक्षर अ तज्ञान की वृद्धि हो जाने पर आग्रायणीय समासज्ञान होता है। इसके आगे क्रमसे एक एक अक्षर की वृद्धि होते-होते एक अक्षर से न्यून पाठ वस्तु ज्ञान हो तब तक प्राग्रायणीय समासज्ञान होता है। इस पर एक अक्षरज्ञान की वृद्धि होजाने पर तीसरे वीर्यानुप्रवाद पूर्व का ज्ञान पूर्ण हो जाता है । इसके आगे एक अक्षर श्रुतज्ञान की वृद्धि होजाने पर बीर्यानुप्रवाद समासज्ञान होता है। एक अक्षर कम १८ वस्तु ज्ञान तक वीर्यानुप्रवाद समासज्ञान होता है। इसमें एक अक्षर की वृद्धि हो जाने पर अस्तिनास्तिप्रवादपूर्व का ज्ञान होता है । इस पर एक अक्षर की वृद्धि हो जाने पर अस्तिनास्ति प्रवाद समासज्ञान होता है। क्रमसे एक-एक अक्षर की वद्धि होते हए एक अक्षर कम १२ वस्तज्ञान तक अस्तिनास्तिप्रवाद समासज्ञान होता है। इसमें एक अक्षर की वृद्धि हो जाने पर ज्ञानप्रवादपूर्व का ज्ञान हो जाता है। इसके आगे भी एक अक्षर की वृद्धि हो जाने पर ज्ञानप्रवाद समासज्ञान होता है। क्रमशः एक-एक अक्षर की वृद्धि होते हुए एक अक्षर कम बारह वस्तु का ज्ञान होने तक ज्ञानप्रवाद समासज्ञान होता है। पुनः उसमें एक अक्षर की वृद्धि हो जाने पर सत्यप्रबाद पूर्व का ज्ञान हो जाता है। इसके आगे इसी क्रम मे सत्यप्रवादसमास, आत्मप्रवाद, प्रात्मप्रवादसमास, कर्मप्रवाद, कर्मप्रवादसमास, प्रत्याख्यानप्रवाद, प्रत्याख्यानप्रवाद समास, विद्यानुवाद, विद्यानुवाद समास, कल्याणवाद, कल्याणवादसमास, प्राणवाद, प्राणबादसमास, प्रियाविशाल, क्रियाविशाल समास और लोकबिन्दुसार का कथन करना चाहिए।
