विशेषार्थ - जैसे भार को होने वाला पुरुष कावड़ में भार को रखकर विवक्षित स्थान तक लेजाता है. उसी प्रकार संसारीजीव काय रूपी कावड़ अर्थात् औदारिक आदि नोकर्मशरीरमयी कावड़ में ज्ञानावरण आदि कर्मभार को ग्रहण करके नाना योनिस्थानों में ढोता है। वही पुरुष कावड़ भार से पूर्णरूपेण परिमुक्त होकर उस भार से उत्पन्न दुःख से रहित होकर किसी इष्ट स्थान पर सुखपूर्वक ठहरता है। उसी प्रकार कोई निकट भव्य, क्षयोपशम लब्धि, विशुद्धिलब्धि, देशना लब्धि, प्रायोग्य लब्धि, करण लब्धि, इन पांच लब्धियों को प्राप्त होकर सम्यग्दर्शन-सम्यग्ज्ञान और सम्यकचारित्र से सम्पन्न होकर, वह तत्त्वज्ञानी शरीररूपी कावड़ के द्वारा कर्मभार ढोने को छोड़कर, उन कर्मोदय से होनेवाले नाना प्रकार के दुःख दूर हो जाने से, लोकाग्र इष्ट स्थान पर सुखपूर्वका रहता है। भव्य जनों के हितार्थ प्राचार्य का यह अभिप्राय है ।।
कायमार्गणा से रहित सिद्धों का म्वरूप जह कंचरणमग्गिगयं मुचइ किट्टण कालियाए य ।
तह कायबंध मुक्का अकाइया झारपजोगेण ।।२०३॥ गाथार्य-जिस प्रकार अग्नि को प्राप्त होने पर सोना कीट और कालिमा को छोड़ देता है उसी प्रकार ध्यान को प्राप्त हा जीव काय-बन्धन से मुक्त होकर अकाय हो जाता है ।।२०३||
विशेषार्थ-जिस प्रकार संसार में मलिन सुवर्ण को प्रज्वलित अग्नि में तपाने और अन्तरंग में रसादि भावना से संस्कत करने पर वह बहिरंग कौटमल को और कालिमा अन्तरंग मल को छोड देता है. फलस्वरूप जाज्वल्यमान सोलहवानी का शुद्ध स्वर्ण प्राप्त हो जाता है और सर्व मनुष्य उसकी सराहना करते है । उसी प्रकार तप रूप अग्नि के प्रयोग से धर्मध्यान व शक्लध्यान की भावना के द्वारा विशेष रूप से दाध निकट भव्य जीब औदारिक व तेजस शरीर के बन्धन से और कार्मरण पारीर के संप्रलेष बन्धन से मुक्त होकर अशरीर अकायिक सिद्ध परमेष्ठी हो जाते हैं। अनन्तज्ञानादि स्वरूप की उपलब्धि को प्राप्त करके लोकान में विराजमान हो जाते हैं । सर्व लोक के जीवों द्वारा स्तुति, प्रणाम करने योग्य, पूजित व सराहनीय हो जाते हैं । जिनके काय अर्थात् शरीर है वे संसारी हैं और इससे विपरीत जो कायरहित हैं वे अकायिक हैं तथा मुक्त हैं।
श्री माधवचन्द्र विद्यवेव ग्यारह गाथाओं द्वारा कायमार्गणा में पृथिवीकाय आदि जीवों की संख्या का कथन करते हैं -
पाउड्ढरासिवारं लोगे अण्णोण्गसंगुरणे तेऊ ।
भूजलवाऊ अहिया पडिभागोऽसंखलोगो दु ॥२०४।। गाथार्थ--साढ़े तीन बार गितसंवर्गित विधि में लोक को परस्पर गुणा करने से तेजस्कायिक जीवों की संख्या,प्राप्त होती है । तेजस्कायिक जोवों से पृथिवीकायिक जीव विशेष अधिक है। उनसे

**Special Meaning:** Just as a man carrying a load on his shoulder takes it to the desired place, in the same way, a worldly being carries the burden of karma, such as knowledge-obscuring karma, in his body-shaped kavada, which is made of the body of merit, etc., and wanders through various births. That man, freed from the burden of the kavada, is free from the suffering caused by that burden and rests comfortably in a desired place. Similarly, a near-liberated soul, having attained the five attainments of destruction of karma, purification, knowledge, practice, and instrument, becomes endowed with right faith, right knowledge, and right conduct. He abandons the carrying of the burden of karma through his body-shaped kavada, and being free from the various kinds of suffering caused by the ripening of karma, he dwells happily in the desired place of the world. **Gatha 203:** Just as gold, when it reaches fire, leaves behind its impurities and blackness, in the same way, a soul, when it attains meditation, becomes free from the bondage of the body and becomes bodiless.

Similarly, by the use of the fire of austerity, through the contemplation of Dharma-meditation and Shakla-meditation, especially the near-liberated soul, being freed from the bondage of the body of merit and the body of energy, and from the bondage of the connection of the body of karma, becomes a bodiless, non-physical, liberated, supreme being. He attains the attainment of infinite knowledge, etc., and resides in the world. He becomes worthy of praise, salutation, worship, and appreciation by all beings in the world.
