________________ आदिपुराणम् वात्सकं क्षीरसंपोषादिव निर्मलविग्रहम् । सोऽपश्यञ्चापलस्येव परां कोटिं कृतोत्प्लुतिम् ॥१११॥ स पक्ककणिशानम्रकलमक्षेत्रमैक्षत । नौद्धत्यं फलयोगीति नृणां वमिवोद्यतम् ॥११२॥ वप्रान्त भुवमाघ्रातुमिवोत्पलमिवानतान् । स कैदार्येषु कलमान् वीक्ष्यानन्दं परं ययौ ॥११३॥ फलानतान् स्तम्बकरीन सोऽपश्यद् वप्रभूमिपु । स्वजन्म हेतून् केदारान्नमस्यत इवादरात् ॥११॥ आपीतपयसः प्राज्यक्षीरा लोकोपकारिणीः । पयस्विनीरिवापश्यत् प्रसूताः शालिसंपदः ॥११५॥ "अवतंसितनीलाब्जाः कजरेणुश्रितस्तनीः । इक्षुदण्डभृतोऽपश्यच्छालीश्चोत्कुर्वतीः स्त्रियः ॥११६॥ हारिगीतस्वनाकृष्ट वेष्टिता हंसमण्डलैः। शालिगोप्यो दृशोरस्य मुदं तेनुर्वधूटिकाः ॥११७॥ कृताध्वगोपरोधानि गीतानि दधतीः सतीः । न्यस्तावतंसाः कणिशेः शालिगोपीर्ददर्श सः ॥११८॥ सुगन्धिमुखनिःश्वासा भ्रमरैराकुलीकृताः । मनोऽस्य जहः शालीनां पालिकाः कलबालिकाः ॥११६॥ उपाध्वं प्रकृतक्षेत्रान् क्षेत्रिणः परिधावतः । बलोपरोधैरायस्तानै क्षतासौ'- सकौतुकम् ॥१२०॥ अग्रभागसे स्थलकमल उखाड़ डाले हैं और जो अपने यशके समान उनकी मृणालोंको जहाँतहाँ फेंक रहे हैं ऐसे उन्मत्त बैल भी भरत महाराजने देखे थे ॥११०॥ दूधसे पालन-पोषण होनेके कारण ही मानो जिनका निर्मल-सफेद शरीर है, जो चंचलताको अन्तिम सीमाके समान जान पड़ते हैं और जो बार-बार उछल-कूद रहे हैं ऐसे गायोंके बछड़ोंके समूह भी भरतेश्वर देखते जाते थे ॥१११।। भरत महाराज पकी हुई बालोंसे नम्रीभूत हुए धानोंके खेत भी देखते जाते थे, उस समय वे खेत ऐसे मालूम होते थे मानो 'लोगोंको उद्धतपना फल देनेवाला नहीं है' यही कहनेके लिए तैयार हुए हों ॥११२॥ जो खेतके भीतर उत्पन्न हुए कमलोंको सूंघनेके लिए ही मानो नम्रीभूत हो रहे हैं ऐसे खेतोंमें लगे हुए धानके पौधोंको देखकर भरत महाराज परम आनन्दको प्राप्त हो रहे थे ।।११३॥ उन्होंने खेतकी भूमियोंमें फलोंके भारसे झुके हुए धानके उन पौधोंको भी देखा था जो कि अपने जन्म देनेके कारण खेतोंको बड़े आदरके साथ नमस्कार करते हुए-से जान पड़ते थे ॥११४।। उन्होंने जहाँ-तहाँ फैली हुई धानरूप सम्पदाओंको गायोंके समान देखा था, क्योंकि जिस प्रकार गायें जल पीती हैं उसी प्रकार धान भी जल पीते है ( जलसे भरे हुए खेतोंमें पैदा होते हैं ) जिस प्रकार गायोंमें उत्तम दूध भरा रहता है उसी प्रकार धानोंमें भी पकनेके पहले दूध भरा रहता है और गायें जिस प्रकार लोगोंका उपकार करती हैं उसी प्रकार धान भी लोगोंका उपकार करते हैं ॥११५॥ जिन्होंने नालसहित कमलोंको अपने कर्णका आभूषण बनाया है, कमलकी पराग जिनके स्तनोंपर पड़ रही है, जो हाथमें ईखका दण्डा लिये हुए हैं और जो धान रखानेके लिए 'छो-छो' शब्द कर रही हैं ऐसी स्त्रियोंको भी उन्होंने देखा था ॥११६॥ जो अपने मनोहर गीतोंके शब्दोंसे खिचकर आये हुए हंसोंके समूहोंसे घिरी हुई हैं ऐसी धानकी रक्षा करनेवाली नवीन स्त्रियाँ भरत महाराजके नेत्रोंका आनन्द बढ़ा रही थीं ॥११७॥ जो पथिकोंको रोकनेवाले सुन्दर गीत गा रही हैं और जिन्होंने धानको बालोंसे कर्णभूषण बनाकर धारण किये हैं ऐसी धानकी रखानेवाली स्त्रियोंको भरतने बड़े प्रेमसे देखा था ॥११८॥ जो अपने मुखकी सुगन्धित निःश्वाससे आये हुए भ्रमरोंसे व्याकुल हो रही हैं ऐसी धान रखानेवाली सुन्दर लड़कियाँ महाराज भरतके मनको हरण कर रही थीं ॥११९॥ जो सेनाके लोगोंसे मार्गके समीपवर्ती खेतोंकी रक्षा करनेके लिए उनके १ भुव: अन्तः अन्तर्भुवम् । २ -मेवानतान् ल०, इ०; प० । ३ सस्यक्षेत्रसमूहेषु । ४ धेनूः । ५ स वतंसित-इ०। ६ उत्कर्षान् कुर्वतोः । ७ कुलबालिकाः ल०, इ०, द०। ८ मार्गसमीपे । ९ कृत । १० क्लेशितान् ।
