अष्टत्रिंशत्तम पर्व
२४२ कृतार्हत्पूजनस्यास्य मौजीबन्धो जिनालये । गुरुसाक्षिविधातव्यो व्रतार्पणपुरस्सरम् ॥१०५॥ शिखी सितांशुकः सान्तर्वासा निषविक्रियः । व्रतचिह्न दधत्सूत्रं तदोको ब्रह्मचार्यसौ ॥१०६॥ चरणोचितमन्यच नामधेयं तदस्य वै । वृत्तिश्च भिक्षयाऽन्यत्र राजन्यादुद्धवैभवात् ॥१७॥ सोऽन्तःपुरे चरेत् पाच्या नियोग इति केवलम् । तदनं देवसात्कृत्य ततोऽन्नं योग्यमाहरेत् ॥१०॥
इत्युपनीतिः । व्रतचर्यामतो वक्ष्ये क्रियामस्योपबिभ्रतः । कट्यरूर:शिरोलिङ्गमनूचानव्रतोचितम् ॥१०२॥ कटीलिङ्गं भवेदस्य मौञ्जीबन्धानिमिर्गुणैः । रत्नत्रितयशुद्धयङ्गं तद्धि चिह्न द्विजात्मनाम् ॥११॥ तस्येष्टमूरुलिङ्गं च सुधौतसितशाटकम् । आर्हतानां कुलं पूतं विशालं चेति सूचने ॥१११॥ उरोलिङ्गमथास्य स्याद् ग्रथितं सप्तमिर्गुणैः । यज्ञोपवीतकं सप्तपरमस्थानसूचकम् ॥११२॥ शिरोलिङ्गं च तस्येष्टं परं मौण्ड्यमनाविलम् । मौण्डयं मनोवचःकायगतमस्योपबृहयत् ॥११३॥ एवंप्रायेण लिङ्गेन विशुद्धं धारयेद् व्रतम् । स्थूलहिंसाविरत्यादि ब्रह्मचर्योपबृहितम् ॥११४॥
दन्तकाष्टग्रहो नास्य न ताम्बूलं न चाअनम् । न हरिद्रादिभिः स्नानं शुद्धम्मानं दिनं प्रति ॥११५॥ जाती हैं ॥१०४॥ प्रथम ही जिनालयमें जाकर जिसने अर्हन्तदेवकी पूजा की है ऐसे उस बालकको व्रत देकर उसका मौजीबन्धन करना चाहिए अर्थात् उसकी कमरमें मँजकी रस्सी बाँधनी चाहिए ॥१०५॥ जो चोटी रखाये हए है, जिसकी सफेद धोती और सफेद दुपट्टा है, जो वेष और विकारोंसे रहित है, तथा जो व्रतके चिह्नस्वरूप यज्ञोपवीत सूत्रको धारण कर रहा है ऐसा वह बालक उस समय ब्रह्मचारी कहलाता है ॥१०६॥ उस समय उसके आचरणके योग्य और भी नाम रखे जा सकते हैं। उस समय बडे वैभवशाली राजपुत्रको छोड़कर सबको भिक्षावृत्तिसे ही निर्वाह करना चाहिए और राजपुत्रको भी अन्तःपुरमें जाकर माता आदिसे किसी पात्रमें भिक्षा मांगनी चाहिए, क्योंकि उस समय भिक्षा लेनेका यह नियोग ही है । भिक्षामें जो कुछ प्राप्त हो उसका अग्रभाग श्री अरहन्तदेवको समर्पण कर बाकी बचे हुए योग्य अन्नका स्वयं भोजन करना चाहिए ॥१०७-१०८॥ यह चौदहवीं उपनीति क्रिया है। ___ अथानन्तर ब्रह्मचर्य व्रतके योग्य कमर, जाँघ, वक्षःस्थल और शिरके चिह्नको धारण करनेवाले इस ब्रह्मचारी बालककी व्रतचर्या नामकी क्रियाका वर्णन करते हैं ॥१०९॥ तीन लरकी मूंजको रस्सी बाँधनेसे कमरका चिह्न होता है, यह मौंजीबन्धन रत्नत्रयकी विशुद्धिका अंग हैं और द्विज़ लोगोंका एक चिह्न है ॥११०॥ अत्यन्त धुली हुई सफेद धोती उसकी जाँघका चिह्न है, वह धोती यह सूचित करती है कि अरहन्त भगवान्का कुल पवित्र और विशाल है ।।१११।। उसके वक्षःस्थलका चिह्न सात लरका गुंथा हुआ यज्ञोपवीत है, यह यज्ञोपवीत सात परमस्थानोंका सूचक है ॥११२॥ उसके शिरका चिह्न स्वच्छ और उत्कृष्ट मुण्डन है जो कि उसके मन, वचन, कायके मुण्डनको बढ़ानेवाला है। भावार्थ - शिर मुण्डनसे मन, वचन, काय पवित्र रहते हैं ॥११३॥ प्रायः इस प्रकारके चिह्नोंसे विशद्ध और ब्रह्मचर्यसे बढ़े हुए स्थूल हिंसाका त्याग (अहिंसाणु व्रत) आदि व्रत उसे धारण करना चाहिए ॥११४॥ इस ब्रह्मचारीको वृक्षको दातौन नहीं करनी चाहिए, न पान खाना चाहिए, न अंजन लगाना चाहिए और न हल्दी आदि लगाकर स्नान करना चाहिए, उसे प्रतिदिन केवल १ अन्तर्वस्त्रेण सहितः । २ वेषविकाररहितः । ३ यज्ञसूत्रम् । ४ वर्तनायोग्यम् । ५ तदास्य ल० । ६ राजन्यः । ७ पात्र भिक्षां प्रार्थयेदित्यर्थः । ८ भिक्षान्नम्। ९ देवस्य चरुं समर्प्य । १० शेषान्नं भुञ्जीत । ११ -महं ल. । १२ ब्रह्मचर्यव्रत । १३ धवलवस्त्रम् । १४ उष्णीषादिरहितम् । १५ एवं प्रकारेण ।
