वज्रघ और श्रीमती को सूर्यप्रभदेव के गगनगामी विमान को देखकर जातिस्मरण होना । उसी समय आकाश से दो चारणऋद्विधारी मुनियों का उनके पास पहुँचना और उनके द्वारा मुनियों का परिचय पूछा जाना मुनिराज ने अपना परिचय दिया कि जब आप महाबल थे तब मैं आपका स्वयंबुद्ध नामक मन्त्री था। आपके संन्यास के बाद मैंने दीक्षा धारण कर सौधर्म स्वर्ग में जन्म प्राप्त किया । वहाँ से चय कर जम्बूद्वीप के पूर्व विदेहक्षेत्र के पुष्कलावती देश की पुण्डरीकिणी नगरी में राजा प्रियसेन के प्रीतिकर नाम का पुत्र हुआ । यह प्रीतिदेव मेरा छोटा भाई हैं । स्वयंप्रभ जिनेन्द्र के पास दीक्षा लेकर हम दोनों ने घोर तपश्चरण किया, उसके फलस्वरूप अवधिज्ञान तथा चारण ऋद्धि प्राप्त की है । अवधिज्ञान से आपको यहाँ उत्पन्न हुआ जानकर सम्यक्त्व का लाभ कराने के लिए आया हूँ । काललब्धि आपके अनुकूल है अतः आप दोनों ही सम्यक्त्व ग्रहण कीजिए । यह कहकर सम्यक्त्व का लक्षण तथा प्रभाव बतलाया । मुनिराज के उपदेश से दोनों ने ही सम्यक्त्व ग्रहण किया । तथा शार्दूल, नकुल आदि के जीवों ने भी सम्यक्त्व से अपनी आत्मा को अलंकृत किया । उपदेश देकर मुनियुगल आकाशमार्ग से चले गये १६६ - २०३ उक्त आर्य और आर्या प्रीतिकर मुनिराज के

केवली के मुख से शतमति के दुःख का समाचार जानकर श्रीधर बहुत ही दुःखी हुआ और नरक में पहुँचकर शतमति के जीव को धर्म का उपदेश देकर सन्तुष्ट हुआ । श्रीधर के सदुपदेश से शतमति के जीव ने सम्यक्त्व ग्रहण किया जिसके प्रभाव से पुष्कलावती देश की मंगलावती नगरी में महीधर राजा की सुन्दरी रानी के जयसेन नाम का पुत्र हुआ । उसका विवाह होने वाला ही था कि उसी समय श्रीधरदेव ने आकर उसे नरक के दुःखों की स्मृति दिला दी जिससे वह पुनः दीक्षित होकर ब्रह्म स्वर्ग का इन्द हुआ |
दशम पर्व
एक दिन श्रीधरदेव ने अवधिज्ञान से जाना कि हमारे गुरु प्रीतिकर को केवलज्ञान हुआ है और वे श्रीप्रभ नामक पर्वत पर विद्यमान हैं। ज्ञात होते ही वह पूजा की सामग्री लेकर गुरुदेव की पूजा के लिए चला । वहाँ पहुँच कर उसने उनकी पूजा की तथा पूजा के बाद पूछा कि मैं जब महाबल था और आप थे स्वयं बुद्ध मन्त्री तब मेरे शतमति, महामति तथा संभिन्नभति नाम के अन्य तीन मन्त्री भी थे। उनका क्या हुआ ? श्रीधरदेव के प्रश्न के उत्तर में केवली प्रीतिकर गुरु कहने लगे कि उनमें संभिन्नमति और महामति तो निगोद पहुँचे हैं तथा शतमति नरक में दुःख उठा रहा है । यह कहकर उन्होंने नरक में उत्पन्न होने के कारण वहाँ के दुःख तथा वहाँ की व्यवस्था आदि का विस्तार के साथ वर्णन किया २०८-२१७
